These webpages have been created to help promote the use of locally made charcoal, by one woodcollier trying to make a difference.

This is a not-for-profit endeavour. I have created the website at my own expense, with no financial contributions from any other party, because I want to personally make a positive contribution to tackling climate change, slowing the decline of scarce woodland environments and promote an enjoyable, traditional craft.As a woodcollier myself, I understand the difficulties in promoting our charcoal products in the face of imported competition, low margins and few local channels to market. And as a consumer of charcoal for my barbecue, I find it frustrating that it's so difficult to find high quality, ethically traded, eco-friendly charcoal.
I see this web resource as a key way I can help both these situations, since I've found no similar resource existed anywhere else. I hope you find these webpages interesting, useful and compelling.
